Shantrika
SShantrika Schneider is an artist and visionary from the East who uses art as a medium to elevate human consciousness. The subject of her paintings are mainly figurative and non-figurative abstracts depicting the ecstatic form of creation. She realised that geometric shapes, forms and colours have a strong influence on the human system. Art created with the intention to bring a higher form of exuberance and stillness can slowly transform oneself and open up higher possibilities of life.
She observed the Eastern cultures, steeped in aesthetics, have been overtaken by the European notion of art, which primarily depicting pain and suffering. The European form of art that largely reflects the inner feelings of the artist, has led to many world-famous works of art today depicting pain and misery. They believed that misery could make one profound. Shantrika understood this misleading concept of art because to realise the depth of exuberance, it takes something more. As an artist, she began to create her paintings along these lines to depict the exuberance of life and creation. It is her mission to bring this aesthetic back into our lives, to remind us that the purpose of our lives is to find expression to all that we're.
